I have been a licensed real estate agent since 1984 and I am experienced in all forms of real estate and real estate development.  I have been a resident of Westcliffe and Wet Mountain Valley since 1991.  After years of helping people pursue their dream of country living here in the Westcliffe area, I recently decided to work with Wild West Properties, LLC.

What a collection that kid has of antique cars and the many hunting trips he has gone on with his Dad for such a youngster! Any son would be proud to have a Dad like that!

In late 2007, my wife and I had decided to sell a 177 acre parcel of land that we owned west of Westcliffe, Colorado. We were thinking about who to list the property with, when we received a letter from Bruce A. Lind, Broker Associate with Wild West Properties LLC in Westcliffe. Bruce said that he had buyers for acreage-type properties if we were thinking of selling.

We met with Bruce and liked his professional and friendly manner immediately. After discussion we listed our property with his firm. The property was shown several times by Bruce and Bob Joslen, Wild West Properties owner/broker. Nothing materialized until an offer came in from a couple who seemed very interested in the property. After a suitable time and back and forth negotiations, an agreement was reached. That was when the fun began.

The land parcel we were selling was encumbered with a fairly restrictive conservation easement held by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF). Our buyers were attempting to put a large down payment down and finance the balance. Due to the funding and financing options, we kept running into roadblocks, both from RMEF and from IRS. It took a full year to finally get this deal together.

During this time, there were times when both Bruce and I, along with the buyers, thought the whole thing was going to collapse due to the difficulties encountered. Throughout all this, Bruce always kept his sense of humor and professionalism intact. (He even was able to continue laughing at my corny jokes.) He offered encouragement and guidance to both sides when needed. During this process, Bruce became a trusted friend as well as a business associate. I still have occasion to go back to Westcliffe, and always look forward to meeting Bruce when his schedule allows.

Anyone wanting an honest, strongly motivated real estate person to help them either sell or buy land could do no better than Bruce Lind. As a good, knowledgeable realtor, an astute outdoorsman and guide, and above all a person of integrity, Bruce can not be beat. You definitely will not be sorry you met him.
